Dissolve 2 T yeast in 1/2 c. warm water and 1 t sugar. Set aside. With electric mixer, cream 1/2 c. crisco, 1/2 c sugar, and 2 eggs. Add 1 c VERY hot water and 1T salt. Mix with mixer. Add yeast mixture and stir n 4 1/2 -5 c. flour. Let rest 5-10 minutes. Divide dough into 3, and roll out. Baste with melted butter if desired. Rise until double (1 hour). Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes until golden.
